Privacy policy

At GetMomiCare, your privacy is our highest priority. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. We will never sell your personal health data to third parties — not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone.

We collect only the minimum needed. On our servers: your email address and name for sign-in, and the health data you choose to sync — symptoms, weight, sleep, water and kick counts. Much of what you log never leaves your phone at all: cycle data, mood check-ins, feeds, nappies, baby sleep and appointments are stored on the device only, and we never receive them. Your medical records — scans, results, letters, MATB1s and everything else in the document vault — are device-only too, including the files and the list of what they are. We never receive any of it, which also means we cannot restore it if you lose your phone. All health data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by row-level security so that only your account can read your records.

Your data is used solely to provide and improve your GetMomiCare experience. We use anonymised, aggregated data to improve the product. We never share individual health data with advertisers, employers, insurance companies, or government agencies unless legally required.

Our AI companion generates insights, predictions and gentle screening for you alone. To do this, your messages are sent — over an encrypted connection, through our own servers — to our AI processor, Google (Gemini API), which processes them to produce a response and does not use them to train its models. We never sell this data, never attach advertising identifiers to it, and never share it with anyone beyond the processor that powers the feature. You can use the app without the AI features if you prefer.

All data is stored with row-level security: only you can access your personal health records. Encryption applies at rest and in transit. Access to production systems is audited and restricted.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account, from Profile then Privacy and Security, erases every trace of it immediately — one tap, no questions, no retention window games. Data we hold is stored on servers in Ireland (EU) and kept only for as long as your account exists.

GetMomiCare is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has given us their information, email hello@getmomicare.com and we will delete it. We chose 16 rather than 18 deliberately: pregnancy and periods do not wait for adulthood, and we would rather support a 16-year-old than turn her away. hello@getmomicare.com
